If you haven’t already stumbled upon this series, the idea is that each episode features a different celebrity answering 73 quick-fire questions. It’s a great way to gain insight into their everyday lives and a fun, off-hand introduction to their distinctive characters.
Our first favourite (we’re not going to rank these in order because it’ll be too difficult) involves an affable bloke from blighty – the mighty James Corden. In this brief journey, he reflects on the wonderful moment when Stevie Wonder called his wife on Carpool Karaoke and confesses who his dream guest lineup would be. He also gives us an insider’s look behind the scenes of the Late Show and the privilege of seeing what that seemingly daunting walk onto set looks like.
The vibrant, Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o, who broke our hearts in Twelve Years A Slave, was especially captivating in this video, shot inside Vogue headquarters. In a short space of time, we learnt that she is fluent in both Swahili and Spanish, as well as being a master with a hula hoop. If that wasn’t enough to deepen your interest, consider the fact Lupita also moved to Mexico when she was only 16, without her parents. And that’s what’s great about this installment – we’re given a brief insight into the kind of character it takes to journey from that surely intimidating situation, through the glittering labyrinths of Hollywood, into some of the biggest films of this last decade, including Star Wars.
Who wouldn’t enjoy this relaxing walk (with a backflip thrown in) around a verdant garden with the inspiring force of nature, Reese Witherspoon? We’re not sure if it’s the large garden or clear blue skies, but we think this video is buoyed by an airy, light-hearted atmosphere. Come to think of it, it probably has to do with the fact we get to spend a few minutes in radiant company. We also find out about Reese’s favorite Johnny Cash song and the best gift she ever received. What’s not to like?
What could be better than 7 minutes in a stylish LA hideaway with self-professed comic geek and multi-talented beauty, Olivia Munn. In this installment, we take a short look at the countless, kaleidoscopic colours of her unique personality. We learn that she’s got a weakness for ’90s hip-hop as background and doesn’t like loaded questions about the meaning of love, although if you want to know what the greatest comic book ever created is, you’ve come to the right place…
Finally, we wanted to include this installment with the very cool, artistic and sexy, Emily Ratajkowski. You might recognise her from her appearance in Gone Girl, or perhaps her more lengthy and captivating performance in We Are Your Friends. It’s interesting to see the inside of her luxurious art-centric LA pad and to hear what this stunning model-turned-actress would do if she were president, or what phrase she would choose for her life motto.
